Welcome to DIV-101

Welcome to the beginning of your Tarot journey. This is the First Circle — the Foundation level of The Arcanum Academy’s Divination Arts department. Whether you have never held a Tarot deck or have shuffled cards casually for years, this course will give you something you may not yet have: a real and thorough understanding of what Tarot is, where it comes from, and how to work with it as a serious practitioner.

DIV-101 is not about fortune-telling. It is not about predicting the future or decoding hidden messages from the universe. It is about learning a language — one of the richest symbolic languages humanity has ever created — and using that language to understand yourself and your life more deeply.

What This Course Covers

• The true history of Tarot — from playing cards to esoteric tool
• The structure of the 78-card deck — Major and Minor Arcana, the four suits, the Court Cards
• The Fool’s Journey — the great mythic narrative running through the Major Arcana
• The meaning and symbolism of every suit and every Court Card
